Created as an homage to the late Maple Leaf Strings luthier, Philip Doan, the MLS513 Eurpoean 1 is intended to honor his commitment to the Maple Leaf Strings family and the national musical community. For each Noble Philip instrument purchased, Maple Leaf Strings donates 10% of proceeds towards a scholarship fund created to provide access to private music education for underserved musicians.
This cello features a fully hand-carved, seasoned spruce top and a flamed curly European maple back that have been dried for 4-5 years and an Aubert 14 bridge.
