Top Name-Brand Instruments

Providing top tier instruments is a key component to making your band or orchestra program a thriving success.  Retailers like PM Music Center work closely with quality brands, such as Yamaha, Jupiter, Conn, and Selmer.  Our commitment to quality instruments of all levels ensures that the pieces provided to your students are well constructed and in great working condition, and will set them up for a positive experience as they embark on their music journey.

Affordable & Flexible

Rental programs are a great way to ensure that each and every single student has access to affordable and reliable instruments.  PM Music Center offers a variety of instrument price points, with no credit checks or additional insurance fees.  And for those students looking to switch or upsize their instrument, there are no added change fees, meaning your students have the flexibility to adjust their rental at any time.  Partnering with PM Music Center helps ensure every student with a passion for music and music education can participate and grow, without having to worry about the cost of expensive rentals or the pressure of buying an instrument outright.  Check out our FAQ page for more information on our rental pricing.

Commitment to the Success of Music Education Programs

Dedicated to music programs throughout Chicagoland and Northern Illinois, PM Music Center is founded on supporting music educators and meeting their needs, to ensure that music programs run as smoothly as possible.

  • Enrollment & Recruitment Assistance - Starting and maintaining a school music program takes a village, and PM Music Center’s All-Star team is a great resource to help encourage students to sign up.  PM Music hosts on campus enrollment events and works with you and your school’s administration to be onsite to answer any questions and help with instrument selection.  Our Education Representatives make recruitment a top priority and are available for year-round support and planning, to ensure that you and your students are ready to hit the ground running at the start of each semester.
  • Weekly Visits from Ed Reps - PM Music Center is known for its invaluable weekly on-site support school visits, from our All-Star Education Representatives.  Showing up consistently each week is an integral part of our commitment to help music educators run a smooth program and have more time to focus on music and their students.
  • Skilled On-Site Repair Technicians - Every instrument requires consistent care and maintenance.  PM Music Center’s rental program offers educators, parents, and students constant support to make the process of caring for an instrument easier to manage.  All rental program participants have access to our full maintenance and care services.  Our skilled on-site in-house repair team provides exceptional service with a quick turn around, as well as free loaner instruments.  Working with PM Music Center’s repair team saves students and music educators valuable time and makes it easy to keep their instrument in great condition.
  • Spotlight Program -  As students learn and their skills develop, their instrument needs will likely change, and we have options! Rental programs provide students the flexibility to upgrade to a different size or higher-quality instrument at any time.  PM Music Center provides rentals for Step-Up instruments tailored to support your student’s needs throughout their musical journey.
  • Flexibility - PM Music Center’s rental program is month-to-month, rather than a long-term commitment or financial obligation.  This kind of flexibility can be key for prospective students and parents, and can make joining a band or orchestra a bit more feasible.  In addition, PM Music Center offers rental participants a rent-to-own option, allowing rental payments to be applied towards the purchase of the instrument, should a student decide they want to keep playing long-term.

How to work with school administration

Managing a school music program requires not only a passion for music, but the ability to navigate the ins and outs of your school’s administration.  Fostering a great relationship with your admin is an important way to keep your program supported and thriving, and is an area where a partnership with PM Music Center can make a difference.

Along with our PM Music Educator professional events, we provide our educators with the professional tools to navigate their administration’s unique considerations.  As a music educator, you’re likely considering how to plan and budget for things like performances, trips, and classroom materials, along with instruments.   Our staff will help you get creative and find solutions to alleviate some of the financial stressors facing both you and your students, so that your program can continue to grow and flourish.

Our skilled team of Education Representatives are no strangers to navigating school administrations.  We’ve assisted our educators with ideas for programming such as effective curriculum building, student recitals, and logistical support.  School administrations love to be kept in the loop regarding your student’s progress and activities, and we are committed to helping you ensure they’re as excited about your programming as we are.
