Ash Fitzwater has been teaching violin, viola, and piano since 2011, bringing over a decade of experience to his students. He is an active performer in the Chicago area and currently plays with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra and the Rock Symphony, showcasing his versatility across different musical styles.
Ash’s broad teaching expertise allows him to support students at various levels and on multiple instruments, helping them develop strong technical skills, musicality, and confidence. Ash holds a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance from Wichita State University.
His extensive training and professional experience inform his thoughtful, individualized approach to teaching. Whether guiding beginners through foundational skills or preparing advanced students for performance opportunities, Ash is committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive.
Ash offers personalized violin, viola, and piano lessons for students of all levels—from complete beginners to advanced musicians. Whether you're drawn to classical, folk, or contemporary styles, each lesson is thoughtfully tailored to build strong technique, musical expression, and confidence. Lessons are open to students of all ages, from young children to adults. Ash teaches in person in the Naperville and Aurora areas, as well as online via Zoom. With flexible scheduling and customized lesson plans, students can expect steady progress and an engaging, rewarding learning experience.
