Mackenzie Block began playing violin at the age of 10 and quickly developed a deep passion for music. She recently graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and Composition, with an emphasis in violin performance.
Over the years, Mackenzie has earned numerous awards and competition honors for her violin playing, and she’s been invited to perform as a soloist with orchestras and ensembles throughout the Midwest. Her experience as both a performer and composer gives her a well-rounded and dynamic approach to music education.
In addition to teaching private violin lessons, Mackenzie currently serves as a student teacher in the Yorkville school district, working with middle and high school orchestras. Her teaching style is enthusiastic, encouraging, and focused on helping each student unlock their full musical potential.
